To see out this year there's a little treat for you today in your "A Song A Day" section. This is one of my favourite tunes; it's a folk song of Scottish origin originally published in the 1500s. That's a long time ago but the same rules still applied in magic and story telling. I first heard this song on His Royal Bobness's "Good As I Been To You" record and loved it's sincere childish charm and evoked loving memories of being a wee lad scrapping my knees and putting snails in marmalade jars. I hope you enjoy this, make sure you download it interwebly this instant. And speaking of downloading interwebly this instant, I can see how many people are downloading "A Song A Day" but not who they are. I'm happy that there's quite a few of you that are taking these little pockets home with you but let me know who you are. I'm enjoying giving out a song a day, we've only scrathed the surface in this first week, we're going on a journey of song through the ages this coming year; it's going to be fun & I can tell that we are gonna be friends.
